About The Translator:

Dr. Akaalee Nirbo Singh was born Nathaniel Fisher in 1974 in Syracuse, NY (USA).  He was introduced to the Sikh religion and began to meditate on the Shabad Gudu in 1993 while living in NYC. He subsequently learned to read and pronounce the Gurmukhi script and then formally adopted Sikhi by taking Amrit Sanchaar (Sikh baptism initiation) in 2012. He earned his B.A. in psychology in 2006 and Doctorate of Chiropractic medicine in 2010.  He has been working as a chiropractor in Clearwater and Tampa, FL (USA) since 2012. His extensive study of the two main Sikh scriptures (Sidee Gudu Granth Saahib and Sidee Dasam Granth Saahib) led to his undertaking the long process of translating many of the Baanees (poem mantras written by the Sikh Gudus and other enlightened souls) into English. This Shastra Naam Maalaa detailed English translation is the only one to currently exist and a work that took over 3 years to complete.
